I can’t believe it’s October and I set this up in April. I have been busy doing a few things in the library as some of you may have noticed and this just seemed to get put on the back burner. But I’m ready now to go for it!!

The name bit is still on offer – I really want to have a name for all our Web 2.0 tools but I need your help – I’ll advertise in Ma Nishma and by email.

What else can you expect on this blog?

  1. Books I read
  2. Great websites
  3. Useful ideas I come across
  4. Inspiring speakers (audio or video)
  5. Research tips

Let me know if you want anything covered by the library and we’ll give it a go.

From http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/images/view_photog.php?photogid=1152Four weeks to go till I start working at Emanuel School, yet here I am beginning a blog so that you can follow some of the web 2.0 tools I’m setting up for you.

So far, I’ve set up Good Reads site where I place reviews of the books I’ve read. I hope that lots of you will add comments about these books after you’ve read them. Maybe some of you will start your own Good Reads libraries so that we can be friends. Maybe you will take the Challenge2011 to challenge yourselves to read a certain number of books this year. How high can you go??

There’s also a social bookmarking site with Diigo, this blog and lots more coming. I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you in Week 5.

PS – hope you like my Avatar – I’m the one behind the dog (his name is Casper – a West Highland Terrier, or Westie for short – and he has short legs too). You’ll get to see me (and maybe Casper too) before you know it.Ms B & Casper
